In the musical, "Cabaret", the Emcee, the character who sings this song, misses the people who attended the Kit Kat Klub. To me, This song was a coping mechanism I used when my father died. In the "LARD" narrative, this is both a coping mechanism to my father's passing as well as Nico attempting to ignore the fact that he's been kicked out of the "Conine O'nonco Show" slowly going insane with his multiple layers of denial. This narrative will be concluded in the final two tracks of this album.
